Tora Bora, Bush lies, and the press

As a Bush aid once told an NYT reporter, "we make our own reality." He might have added; And reinvent history. The problem is, as Josh Marshall points out, the press is their ally in this process. Bottom line: What John Kerry says about our blowing it at Tora Bora and letting bin Laden escape is exactly what was widely reported just months after the event - and confirmed by after-action reports and people in the administration. But now Bush wants us to believe that black is white and what is worse, the press isn't even referencing their own earlier articles which expose the Bush lies.
