Photo Wars

While Iraq did not heretofore warrant being linked with the "War on Terror" launched by our president, the revelations of the atrocities perpetrated by Americans on Iraqi prisoners in Abu Ghraib establishes a new dimension to the war being waged in the name of the United States of America.

This article by Juan Cole, Professor of History at the University of Michigan and widely recognized authority on the Middle East, creates a compelling case for the proposition that the US is losing, if it has not already lost, the war of images.
