Yies! Where's the press?

Doubts, Dissent Stripped from Public Version of Iraq Assessment

Here's a story that compares two versions of the key prewar intelligence assessment - the version given the public and promoted by Bush et al, and the top secret version which was not declassified until July 2003.

Ehhhh.... folks. It's terrific that Knight-Ridder is comparing these two documents. The comparisons represent hard evidence of the distortions of the truth made by the president - but why did it take nearly eight months for this stuff to get out and why is Knight-Ridder the only group who seems to understand this is top news - the smoking gun of the Bush deceit?! This is information available to any reporter willing to put in a little effort. And what I like best, is it's free of rants - just the facts, Mam!

More evidence - I'm afraid - of the herd instinct among media types. These folks simply can no longer think for themselves.
