Rummy seems to be waking up and to the extent he really is, that's good.
Too bad it has to come after championing policies which have turned the hwole world against us and created more terrorists than Osama bin Laden ever dreamed of recruiting. Let's see, we have:
Killed thousand of innocent Afghanis without getting bin Laden or the Taliban leader.
We have reinstalled bloodthirsty war lords in much of Afghanistan whose don't cause women to wear veils - hey tear them off.
We have helped Afghanistan return to its place of honor as the leading exporter of opium.
We have killed thousands of innocents people in Iraq.
We have failed to capture Saddam Hussein.
We have taken the most Western of Arab countries and turned it into a hotbed of radical Islamic activity.
We are pouring billions of dollars into a sink hole in getting more innocent American men and women killed in an effort that instead of making our lives safer, will make them more dangerous.
OK - but all is forgiven if we now understand the error of our ways and are going to head off in the right direction - sort of. Well maybe.
