Your view?
Did you witness Hurricane Carol in 1954? Tell me about it! And if you have a picture you're willing to share, that's all the better. I'd love to hear from you and I'll add what you have to say to our "Your View" pages. What's more, Charles Orloff is doing a
commemorative book on Carol for Blue Hill Observatory and would love to hear from you as well. So if you have something to share, please:
Send me email, Greg Stone Or send email to Charles Orloff at Blue Hill Observatory. Or send a single email to us both at once.

Boston, MAI happened on your site and found it stir memories of H. Carol and Edna. I was but 4 years old living in Brighton, Mass. but I have strong recollections of hiding in the closet and getting away from the windows. The wind blew hard, trees bent and the parking lot flooded. It was scary. My most vivid image, however, was the site of the broken off WBZ tower which we drove by some time later. Now, in light of the recent tsunami, I suppose, Carol and her sisters in 54 and 55 weren't all that bad. Damaged property and some lives, but it pales compared to the tsunami. Regards, Reuven Brauner formerly of 84 Gordon Street Brighton, Boston, Mass. |
