Your view?
Did you witness Hurricane Carol in 1954? Tell me about it! And if you have a picture you're willing to share, that's all the better. I'd love to hear from you and I'll add what you have to say to our "Your View" pages. What's more, Charles Orloff is doing a
commemorative book on Carol for Blue Hill Observatory and would love to hear from you as well. So if you have something to share, please:
Send me email, Greg Stone Or send email to Charles Orloff at Blue Hill Observatory. Or send a single email to us both at once.

Barrington, RIThank you for your remarkable site. I grew up in Barrington and remember Carol. I was only four but can remember watching a flag pole blow over next door. Just the pole, no flag on it. We lived at the east end of Washington Road, near the Bible College. We were the Pulliams, later the O'Mahonys. After my Dad died, my Mom remarried. The flag pole was in the Mason's yard (Ray, Zella and Clarky). Your site brought back alot of memories of growing up in Barrington. I knew the Gladdings, the Whittemores, the Gales and the Rohde's. Of course, the younger siblings of your contemporaries. I also remember the Ship Store and sailing Beadle Cat's on the river. Tim O'Niel's older brother (Jenny's Lane) taught me how to sail. Thanks again for the memories. I live outside Buffalo now and we have some big storms but nothing like hurricanes |
