NOAA News Online (Story 2321)

Well new Orleans dodged another bullet and even though Ivan wound up and too a second punch, this was quite weak. Meanwhile, Florida is bracing for Jeanne and Bruce just sent me the links to these remarkable pictures of the eyewall taken from a NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft. I've posted my favorite below, but checkout the whole site.

BTW - don't let the power fool you - yes the winds are "only" 105 mph but this is another huge storm and right now it's aiming to side swipe the whole East Coast. We may even feel something significant up here. Check out this morning's 5-day forecast track - subject to error, of course, but interesting to say the least.
