Remembering Hurricane Carol - a special feature

Hurricane Carol made a big impression on me in 1954 and it remains my most vivid storm experience. Sunken boatOur home on Mathewson Road in Barrington, RI and we overlooked a harbor filled with pleasure craft. The storm was a surprise, the day an adventure - not the usual type of hurricane adventure where people's lives and homes are in the balance - but an adventure for a 13-year-old lucky enough to witness it all and snap photos as he roamed around in the wind, rain, and flood.

I still have those picture, old, and curled as they are, and so I have decided to put them on the Web. I figure some members of my family may be interested and maybe some others will be as well. In any event, you can view the photos, read my thoughts, and even order one or more prints of your own simply by visiting the new Web site. I see that site as a special feature of this blog, Natural High, and I hope, as time goes on and the appropriate subject matter arises, to create more such features.
