"Air and Space" this month features "Glacier Girl," a WWII-vintage P38 fighter that made an emergency landing in Greenland some 60 years ago and was eventually rescued - well-preserved - from beneath 268-feet of ice! This is not a photo of a P-38, but when I saw this well-preserved oak leaf that's what came to mind - plus the wonderful patterns and colors.
